I was fed up yesterday with the depressing weather we have had,so when we had some sunshine for a few hours.
So camera in hand got out in the car to see what I could find.
Well hear we have a few Deer crossing the road in front of Sudbourne Church.
You never know what you might stumble upon, so we need to go on out there, and see what happens.

That must have been a surprise!
And behind the trees we see another one that still has to cross the road.
Very beautiful picture of the English countryside.
Best regards, Paul

Good timing these animals are really quick. The nice view of the English country side would have made a fine shot, but here the deers have really clinched it. The road acts as a fine lead line to the scene. Nice shot with excellent clarity and fine natural colours. Thanks for sharing.

What a delightful opportune moment! And at just the right spot with the church in the background making a splendid focal point. I like the lighting here and the fresh green colours, no doubt due to all that rain:-) Excellent capture beautifully presented.

I am glad that I opened this as the deer makes this a wonderful picture, and not obvious in the TN. The light has picked them out beautifully. A lovely rural scene with the old church in the BG.
Excellent quality image.
Kind Regards, Ann

What a nice surprise you had Iain, when randomly drove in the country and saw this herd of 10 dears family crossing the road onto the pasture.
Beautifully taken the photo, great moment collected. The green field and church in far side, complementing fabulousely the rural scenery.
I am most impressed, we do not see such around where I live.

Now this one is just so much better! If I view it at its full size of 1500 pixels wide, it is still amazingly sharp and clear and far better than your previous one which were sized at well over 3000 pixels wide! Yes, I think that's a definite improvement!
A very well seen (and ever better caught) shot - you must really have been quick off the mark to get this one. I hope you had time to stop the car and that you didn't shoot this picture while still driving. (No, a driving instructor definitely wouldn't do a thing like that!)
Despite the fact that this has been a very quick shot, it is very well composed with the deer clearly seen and the church perfectly placed in the frame. Lovely light and colours, perfect exposure and excellent details and sharpness.

You were indeed very lucky to have your camera ready! When such a good motive suddenly appears there is only a very short moment to catch the picture. You also managed to include the very pretty village church!

I see you have the same potential problem you have in England as we do in PA, deer crossing roads with impunity creating a hazard for themselves and the motor vehicles. Last summer ('12) my wife hit 2 deer within 4 months of each other. It is not unusual to see a deer carcass by the roadside around here. In fact, this photo of mine captured one which I did not highlight in my note because that was not the point of the photo.
At any rate, coming back to your photo, I think the road provides good leading lines to the church. You have frozen the running herd very well. Your timing is excellent. Were you in the car when you shot this?
