Hi David,
Thanks for showing this so promptly. I'd meant to go and look at this at about 11pm but forgot. So, I've just been outside now at 23.40 and it's a very eerie sight. Now in complete eclipse, it's such a dull, orange orb. It must have scared the carp out of our predecessors who didn't know what was causing it.
It's a good image too - looks like you have a pretty good lens. What are all the red dots though?
