Photographer’s Note
Oh oh, not sure if Trekearth will like this one, but its one of my best shots this Christmas.
Call me old fashioned and a little sentimental, but this all about the excitement of a 6 year old when a much loved uncle comes to stay for a while.
Unsharp mask filter used in photoshop, and a little tweaking of the levels to up the contrast a bit.
You will notice that the shutter speed is only 1/30 sec. I took advantage of the ISM image stabilisation to take this pic without using a flash. (I hate flashes!)

hello David,
I like it...does that count? But then I have gone all soppy at the moment with the birth of my grandson. family seems important and I realise how much I love my sons and now my grandson.
Both your subjects have a smile in their eyes and you have captured the joyousness of the occasion. So well done. Have you put more pic on treklens? I must check.
best wishes
Bev
ps I mus find out about ISM image stabilisation as I took some terrible pictures of my grandson with flash. One I took indoors without is okay(ish) but very soft.
