Five minutes later visibility was just a few feet. The basket on the pole is a signal beacon probably last used to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee. In the background are the slopes of a range of hills named The Roaches. The steeper faces on their far side are much loved by apprentice climbers.

exellent ligth & colours! Regards .Carme.

Hola Vic.
Bella imagen de este cielo con unos colores fantasticos.
Bonita luz y colores.
Un saludo.
Ricardo.

Hi, Vic. You've captured a stunning sky here. The contrast with the snow and the darker parts of the phot works very well. The pole stands well out and your note about it is interesting. Maybe the brown strip in the bottom right corner is a little distracting.

Jacques

A very moody landscape moment with the puffy clouds and the marvelous colors in the sky. Nothing indicating here that minutes later it would be a mayhay. It is somwhat weird to see a winter shot in the middle of the summer. Well, it is a good reminder that we're heading back to it.

Interesting to see snow in england, the cold tones balance the warm ones in the sky above.

Hi Vic,

Nice shot, beautiful sky, you have captured the clouds very well. TFS

Hi Vic,

I think all your beautiful sunset tones are amplified by the white snow .. very nice.

take care,

Bleak, but just the thing for a BBQ. wELL OK YOU'LL HAVE TO BRING ALOMG RUDDY GREAT BIG STOOLS!
I might have cropped the top bit ever so slightly so that the lovely orange was enhanced as the very white cloud keeps attracting your eye to it. Nice shot and a long way home?

Simon

Hi Vic,
very nice and colorful picture. You bring back the winter to TE. I would crop the picture on left hand and lower side to place the bonfire (?) to the image border.

A reminder of what is to come but a very pleasant reminder .. seen it before as you know .. but still think it is a super image Vic, the extra enhancement of the sky certainly adds to the overall ambiance of the scene

Hi Vic, the atmosphere here is desolate and foreboding. I like the inclusion of the basket as a focus point in this otherwise bare moonscape. Well composed, I like it.
Regards,
Ryno

Hmm very nice coloured, and a fine moment, only that pillar disturbs my eyes

Hello Vic,
Amazing colors of the sky! I like this dramatic atmosphere, well captured.
Regards
Christian
