[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While out walking on 'The Roaches', a well known beauty spot near Leek, Staffordshire, UK and I spotted these stone faces in the rocks.

These stunningly distinct outcrops of rock are made from gritstone. The area is very popular with rock climbers and walkers, who can be found any day of the week here, weather permitting.

Hi David,
Nice colors and framing.
Good light.

Oh yes David! You've really caught the essence here of the Roaches and what a good composition with the foreground rocks prefiguring Hen Cloud (or vice versa!).
Lovely light and colour and sharp all through.
Well done.
Cheers
Peter

Hi David,

It reminds me some dinosaurs faces...Maybe they are looking at the land, searching their next lunch ! The stone with white traces seems to be a mushroom !

Good contrast, tones and POV. Regards

Thankyou for showing me something of my country which I wouldn't of imagined existed. The photo has a nice lighting and interesting forms fit well into the frame making this composition detailed and attractive. You have made me want to see for myself!

A lovely shot David - I'd forgotten how beautiful this place is; not been there for many years, since I was a climber in fact.
As they say, TFS!! :)
Regards
colin
