Photographer’s Note
Wells is widely known because of its cathedral and as far as I know, only because of this. My tourist guide says there are circa 300 sculptures of saints and kings decorating the facade. The building originated in 12th century, the facade and sculptures come from 13th century. Time and Puritans brought most of the observed damages but one needs a closer look from near distance to see how destructive they really are.
We had a cloudy weather during our visit in Wells which provides a rather dull background for photos. For those of you who are interested in the overall big picture of the cathedral, I provided a workshop.
I have also deliberately left the perspective distortion.

Well, I really like this one too, Marek! One's eyes go down the building until you get to the birds, which force, by their flight, your eyes back up to see what you have missed! Remarkable detail, love the muted golden tone. Excellent!
