you did a great work comparing with the cd-inspiring thingie ;) if it was "just a picture" i would probably suggest sharpening and adjusting of contrast, but in this context it's just perfect. well done!

What is it with this bovine picture craze you've started Richard, their everywhere.
As a pastiche this works fine but I'd love to see your attempt at a Yes cover.
Now theres a challenge.

Well, this one sure comes in high in a competition for the maximum ratio between effect and simplicity of composition. Wonderful placement of the cow, a priceless look, wonderful colors and the perfect backing from the big fluffy clouds in the blue sky. Very good one, Richard.

The simplicity of the background makes a wonderful effect. The large are of blue sky, theposition of the young bull, and the earing make a nice composition. Well done, Richard.

A great title, with a funny notice to pink floyd's album & and a great remembring of Strom thorgessen, who is excellent in drawing & making some great works in world of covers for CDs & cassets,in music.

Funny shot... much more interesting that standing in front of a brick wall to shoot the graffiti scribbled on it! ;-)
You could start an astonishing trend with this shot. So, what might be the next challenge? Alan Parson's On Air, Blue Oyster Cult's Imaginos, Pink Flod's Animals or Mike Oldfield's Five Miles out? ;-)

Very good composition, the cow's well placed in the crop, its look is great, the colors and contrast are excellent, and the reference to the Pink Floyd's album "Atom Heart Mother" makes the point. Very good job, I like it a lot!

Yes - Richard even from the thumbnail this reminded of a LP-cover - even i couldn't remember the group name - Very lovely capture Richard - which it was mine - In fact I tried something similar once - but my camera jammed :-)
I like the bright colours and the setup.

Yes the inspiration was very evident even without the caption. Well done Richard!
A bit of Trivia for Floyd fans on TE:) ... British design group "HIPGNOSIS" who did the cover design for Atom Heart Mother were formed in 1968 and specialized in making great cover art for Rock albums including many of the famous Pink Floyd sleeves. The first work of Hipgnosis was the the cover for A Saucerful Of Secrets. Main forces in Hipgnosis were Aubrey Powell, Peter Christopherson and Storm Thorgerson. The team split up in 1983 but Storm Thorgerson is still the "house consultant" for Pink Floyd art and design.

This picture is quite funny, just like the title is. Maybe the reason I like this picture is also because of it recalls me of this masterpiece of music that is Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother".
Nice shot. Living in Paris, I cannot make pictures of animals like cows or sheeps (except pigeons and dogs, there's nothing here), but I would love to try to make shots like this one ;o)

Hi Richard,
I've seen this one several times, but I realized today I never dropped any comment on it, a shame for a Pink Floyd fan. Great compo and superb colors, the placement of the cow in the fframe is excellent and it seems to be looking straight into my eyes. Needless to say, I like it very much !

Hi Richard,
To me, this is the one that stands from all the others in your gallery. He looks like one prizewinning cow...the light and colours are just awesome. Lovely placement of the subject...he has a lot of character. The Pink Floyd Atom heart mother is funny and a little suggestive I might add!!!

Hi Richard: since I've first seen this one, I knew I had a Atom Heart Mama to match somewhere in my old pics (today's post - how more blatant can one get?)
Anyway, I had just waited for the right time to comment, since I went back to it over and over. Love Pink Floyd, had the vinyl album, but lost it.
