A glimpse of student flair Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took this photo near the Oxford University on a beautiful day after rain felt. The sun was on our back so I got the shadows from me taking the picture and the person accompanying me.
If anyone knows the statue on the street..it's a queen (at least should be ;-) I would be glad to add its name here.
It was really cold that day but it was fantastic to see the flair of this town with its students and old buildings.
I selected the shadows with CS4 and increased the exposure to make them appear more craftier...hope you like the effect.

Bonjour Edouard,

La présence de l'auto et des personnes a un effet d'échelle de grandeur. La prise de vue permet de distinguer les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture ce cette partie de l'université d'Oxford. Elle donne aussi un effet de perspective à l'image. Le beau ciel bleu envoie une lumière qui rehausse les couleurs et fait voir l'ombre du photographe. Bonne journée.

yes, I like the effect :) I like the mood!
what I especially like about this photo is the colours! and the perspective is very interesting, too. Did you try taking a landscape horizontal shot? I would try it, too... somehow, it seems to me that the horizontal variant (or square?) would look better.
Did you leave your shadow (at the bottom) in the photo on purpose? ;)
