Photographer’s Note
One of the many bicycles attractively littered around the university town of Oxford.
In fact, 2007 statistics show that 19 percent of Oxford commuters ride a bicycle to work – a statistic that is definitely noticeable on any walk around the town.

Hello, Julian -
Excellent composition- I like your choice to show only the front half of the bicycle, and also where you chose to put it in the frame. The stone wall behind and cobblestones underneath make for eye-catching textures, and your presentation in monochrome really brings them out. Did you add a "vignette" effect? It gives the photo an antique feel. Well done!

Hi Julian,
Thanks to your note about bicycle statistics, I am once more regretting being not able to ride a bike :(((
I like your simple composition in B&W here however I would prefer it more cropped from right side so that pedal would be removed. I made a WS to show what I mean. I hope you won't mind it.
Best wishes,
Burcu
