Photographer's Note
Yesterday was just a wonderful warm spring day in England. I was lucky as I managed a great shot in the morning (posted yesterday)and this one last night with a wonderful evening sun. To try and put it in perspective the apple tree in both images is the same tree, taken from either side of the tree.
I just love this garden and the little village it is in..who ever lived in the house before did a wonderful job to make it a very pretty garden.

ciao Richard,
complimenti per questo tuo primo traguardo.
Composizione ambientata tra alberi fioriti e canale con una buona luce.
Manca, a mio parere, un po' di sharp per rendere ancora più brillante lo scatto,
buona giornata

Hello again,
congratulation for your 100th picture. I have seen your previous image of the channel and the long boats and I love both, but this one is much more cheerful with the golden bush in the foreground, and I like the colourful boat very much those dark look so sad.
Have fun taking and posting another 100 pictures.
Best wishes

Congratulations on your 100th posting and on having such a wonderful view from your garden. I like the framing from the tree and the golden leaved shrub. The image benefits from a very pleasant light and has good colours and sharpness. Best wishes from Charente-Maritime where we are also expecting a gloriously warm spring day.

Hi Richard.
Congratulations on reaching the (first) century!
Did it in style, too. I think Cropredy might have been associated with the folk-rock group Fairport Convention at various times - reunions and things? Not sure. Anyway, the picture is excellent - the shot seemed almost autumnal with the burst of golden colour on the right. What canal is that? I get great pleasure from walking along the Grand Union and its little spurs near Rickmansworth and looking at canal boats like these which make great photo subjects. Beautiful light captured in this one, and reflection on the water. Good sense of depth and perspective. Nice work, and so close to home!

Andrew

Good Morning Richard, Lovely shot of the brook and the reflection of the tree. Very nicely done. The yellow shrub on the right with the tree on the left permits one to see an excellent job of framing here. Great color with a refreshing look of a serene outlook. BTW, is that some form of bird bath or water source on the tree on the left? Have a great week. Regards, Roger

Hi Richard,
First of all congratulations to your 100th entry at TE !
What a nice scenery, what a nice capture.
The choice and use of portrait format was a correct one.
The strong side light underlines every single datail but for me the the "creme de la creme" of the scenery is the group with fresh yellow leaves at right !
TFS and have a nice day

Hi Ricx, congratulations on your 100th photo - that was quick and in the short time you;ve made a wonderful contribution to this site with your beautiful photos, your critiques, your humour and of course your friendship. The light here is particularly stunning, so difficult to believe this is England! I thought it was the Netherlands or somewhere like that. Excellent reflections and I like the diagonal lines of the river and boats. Congrats and may we see many many more from you, Lisa

A very fine and masterly composed photo to celebrate your 100th post!
You really got a splendid light and a very still water which reflected the wonderful trees and the coloured boats. The perspective here is very good and the scene is well framed by the trees at the left and the golden bush at the right.
An excellent work.

Hi Richard,
The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is leading my eyes toward the trees in the background which is giving depth and perspective to the scenery. The trees are framing well the river. The evening light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Congratulations on reaching a century 'not out' Richard.
Lovely warm colours in this beautiful evening light. very nice POV, with the diagonal of the barges reflecting so well in the canal. There is nothing quite so tranquil as the English waterways used by canal people.
The Forsythia in the foreground adds just a perfect touch of gold to the photo.
Enjoy your next 100 photos.
