Occassionally I am asked " How do you define the game of cricket? I thought I would clarify the matter with this simple definition ( PS My apologies for the sexism within the definition- especially as there are now many women who play cricket around the world)
Each man thatís in the side thatís in goes out, and when heís out he comes in and the next man goes in until heís out.
When they are all out, the side thatís out comes in and the side thatís been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.
Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.
When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.
Now ladies you understand perfectly donít you?!
If further clarification is needed - then please refer to my favourite Wiki-- some wonderful definitions there as well

I see you were using your big one! I've heard that definition before, and was wondering where it came from. Now I know. Thanks!
Good frame-filling action shot.

I read once somewhere that if you include a number of anything in a picture, it is always more harmonic if it it is in an odd number, rather than even. The men here are well positioned and as there are seven of them, I think I can agree to that statement. But the ball here looks a bit faked. Even if the sun is low, shouldnīt there be a shadow. There is a small shadow but closer to man #2. Did you clone the ball? But still, a very good and harmonic picture!

A great sports shot with the ball in the air. Lovely frozen action and crisp sharpness and colour.
I enjoyed reading your definition (I have played cricket for fun at work matches) and used to watch it regularly on TV. Always useful that I could go out shopping and not miss much!
Best wishes, Ann
p.s. how are you - I haven't heard much from you recently although I have been a bit patchy on TE recently.

Cricket is and will remain a game I do not understand but I watch a bit when in India. Your shot summarizes the essence of cricket as I understand it. The white dressed players are a perfect contrast to the deep green. Very shart shot. Well done
