Photographer’s Note
Not a reference to being at a Dylan gig, but to the fact that, when not a rock venue, the Nottingham Arena is a skating rink. The event now well under way, the crowd on their feet, and the stewards have stopped caring about photography.
Cuaght in a flash of light from the stage onto the crowd.

Yep - very cool - we can forgive the camera shake for this historic musical event on British shores!! See what you mean about the breach of no camera rules - who were they kidding!!
I didn't even know about this or I might have gone.
best wishes Kev

i love the mood of this picture! very "dylan" indeed...
"Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to.
Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you."

well, i'd even say more that kev did - not only can we forgive the camera shake, let us appreciate an extra "event" flavours of shout, swing, sing that this shake emphesizes;
cool stuff;
have a good weekend, jerzy

Cool rivhard, I said I was exited to see what happened when all bets werte off, and the sneaky photographer got their cameras out in the open. I like it, it's mayhem, all these fans in a total frenzy, they all look like teenage girls at an N'Sync concert :o) Great feel. And that huge sign just makes it even better.

This is really cool. It reminds me that it has been too long since I have seen a good concert, Taipei is just not a hotbed of what I like. Good conversion to b&w and I really like how you thought to use the sign to anchor your shot. This is cool, original stuff.
Funny how in 2005, people seem to be holding up digital cameras rather than lighters. Welcome to the future I guess.

Clever stuff Richard! What a wonderful example of incorporating text in a photo into the story of the photo. I love this extreme grain and the darkness. Love it.

Hi Richard,
I was once in Dylan concert, and I remember those no photos commandments.
I guess he was too far for your shots?
Anyway nice to see crowd, too. And I think dark shades and blur fits well with rock'n roll.
I have some punk shots if you like to have a look.
