Photographer’s Note
Imagine waking up to your very own cooling tower garden ornaments every day.. a cloud factory all of your own! This is a view of Ratcliffe Power Station just south of Nottingham in the UK East Midlands.

Industrial photographs always are interesting to me. The contrast with the small house in the front is fun, I wish you could have had a better point of view. (Maybe you were not allowed to go further?) I like the way the "ornaments" fill the frame, but the pastel reflections in the sky seemed interesting too. I had never thought of a power plant as a cloud factory...

The light is good givinng shape to the towers. The farm does the picture, what a place to live...
The texture of the towers are lost due to compression I think, your file is only 16 kB compared to the alowed 200 kB. With the few colors in this I think you can get by with less than maximum but not with as few kilobytes as 16. The result is blurry patches where detail and tones are lost.

So you must know of the work of writer, general crazy person, Derek Jarman? He took some photos of his backyard, filled with crazy found object sculpture, with a nuclear power station in the background.
Your photo is interesting with that tiny (well it looks tiny) house right up against the towers. But I feel that the photo is leaning to the left, but maybe that is just an optical illusion done.

a bit controversial but newsworthy stock. I liked your title; and your notes.

An awesome photo, Kev, and an interesting POV. Wow, I'm glad I don't live close to those. Remember Chernobyl?

Very good photo amazing what your eye views as on first view didn't see the house...
This reminds me of the cooling towers at Didcot Park down south...

This must be a very large power plant with so many cooling towers. Think it was a good idea if they tried to grow ivy around the towers - if the ivy does not suffer from vertigo, that is! Very different and good picture!
