[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a shot of Dunstanburgh castle in Northumberland. It is normally shot at low tide but i wanted something a little different and went at high tide to see what i could get.Dunstanburgh castle was built in 1313 by Earl Thomas of Lancaster, arch-rival of Edward II and by far the richest and most powerful man in England. It had long been thought that the castle was built in response to raids by the Scots, a simmering conflict which culminated in the Battle of Bannockburn in June 1314, just as the castle's construction was coming to an end.
Hope you enjoy
regards
Nigel

Nigel,
this is a great atmospheric photo and you managed very well the timing and light.amzing greyish tonalities you reached.the magenta in top could be adjusted, although that adds to the atmosphere.very well composed and I like this tranqulity here, too. Thanks,

Magnifica foto , muito bem feita com uma atmosfera bem dramática e pesada devido as cores metálicas , boa profundidade de foto, parabéns!!!
Um abraço Gonçalo

Hi Nigel,

what a wonderful moody shot,
and the dark brooding sky just supports that nicely!
The rocks in the front gives the setting depth.
Very well done...

Laura
