not a bad shot, I was looking at the Canon 20D, it is a fab camera, I guess the tripod could have done a bit better, did it move at all when you used it?
I like the image, but it could be a bit sharper though

The 15 seconds gives an interesting effect of fog in the water. The rocks compensate for the large space of bottom and gives a certain hot line. However, the photograph is slightly blured.

Hi Ken!
This is really a great picture. It's both romantic and spooky!
I like the colours, the lighthouse with the dark houses, the sky and especially the fog by the stones on the foreground.
But I think it's not sharp enough. So I did a workshop for you.
Oh, and some information about this picture would also be very nice.
Happy New Year!

Great work Ken! I agree with the other comments, it is a little blurred but this has been fixed in Steft's Workshop! Great view point, Keep it up, your views of the Northumbrian Coast are fantastic!

This is a truly good shot, although I would suggest that rotating the camera a bit to the right might have given you a better composition. I like to see a bit more of the reddish sunlight on the right, and the rocks are interesting. The lighthouse is not quite at the 1/3 gridline. So if you rotate the camera a bit to the right, placing the lighthouse at the 1/3 imaginery grid line of the picture and to capture more of the sunlight and the rocks, the picture likely will come out even better. What do you think?

Belle image, bon cadrage. Dommage pour la netteté qui n'est pas très bonne, malgré l'utilisation d'un trepied?!

f/22 and 15 sec gives a very nice effect Ken. Nice subject and perfect exposure. Composition is perfectible but it's a beautiful shot !

I like the subtle pastel colours and the soft looking sea caused by the long exposure.
I agree about the comments above about sharpening. Have a look at the link below to a thread on the Tips forum that links to a couple of discussions about this.

Composition wise I might have included more of the rock in the bottom right corner as this is a nice lead in to the frame.
Very nice shot anyway Ken.

Very nice capture.
It would be more interesting with more colorful sky ... I believe.
