A winter's evening on the Bay
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
You could almost be fooled into thinking that this is a lovely summer's evening as you look across the bay and see the warm rays of the sun on the headland. It's only when you look down to the ground in front of you to see the frost on the grass that you remember how cold you are, and you think to yourself 'what am I doing out here in the cold'.
Taken at about 4pm, this side of the bay is now cast in shadow, and the temperature is plummeting, while the opposite shore is still bathed in sunshine.

Great viewpoint Alex, i love the sharpness of the foreground, think it would have done with a few tall reeds to add a little height perspective, great focus using the f22 well to keep all the frame sharp! I liked your recent Quayside pictures very much, thinking of heading down there on sunday again - weather depending!
Alex this is excellent photo with really nice colors. I like it.

Lovely composition: the sunset colors reflected in the water. The angle of the swirl of clouds across he sky is repeated in the diagonal cut of the foreshore.
