[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
So far this winter, we have not had much snow here in North Northumberland, but today was the day when that all changed. Living right on the coast, we never see the snow lie, but we do get the chance to see the snow storms come in off the sea.
This shot was taken in Budle bay this afternoon, just as the sun was starting to sink towards the horizon, hence the "glow" in the clouds. My original intention, was to photograph the posts in the foreground, but I was rewarded with a little something extra.
Shot in RAW format, the only post pro that has been done is to level the horizon, clone out some dust spots, and then sharpen the image slightly. The colours and light levels are as shot.

The view looking in the opposite direction is posted in the workshop.

Hi Alex,

Your photo makes me want to run home seeking shelter!

Great photo with a lot of strengh in it. The composition and contrast are very good, and I also like the almost monochromatic result.

Thanks for sharing and regards,
Carlos

This shot shows a great power of the nature. Taken in right moment with amazing colours
It seems that just after taking this picture you had to run as fast as possible to get out before the storm is there.

Wow, strange color. Really good mood there, the composition is good.

Hello, Alex. This is a very impressive sight. The orange colour gives a kind of apocalyptic dimension to your pic. The small area of blue sky in the upper left corner gives us the feeling the storm is rushing towards you.

Wow, very dramtic weather shot, and good use of the posts in the compo. Amazing lighting, especially considering the note.

Hi Alex
Very impressive capture with the way the clouds seem to wash over the sky. The silhouettes and reflection render the shot very dynamique. The light is pretty amazing.

The right time and the right place.....or not perhaps?
wonderful scene and great colours and compo this way.

Fantastic light and colour Alex - the foreground posts work really well to scale the image and provide that important piece of foreground interest - nice composition - lovely shot - brrrrrrr!
