Good Morning Everyone,

My husband and I walked to Beadnell Harbour as the sun was setting, hoping for a lovely sunset. It was a race against time as we hadn't estimated the distance and we were carrying tripods, too. We only had time for a few shots before the light completely faded but I particularly liked this one.

The boats appeared to be safely tucked up for the night in a harbour which was, symbolically, as snug as a cot.

Hi Beverley. Looking at the bottom three quarters of the image, I am reminded of a traditional and aged oil painting, before loud colours came into favour after the Impressionists. A subtle creation with the light expertly handled so that the foreground details are not obscure. Regards. Klaudio.

A very attractive and atmospheric composition. Well exposed with just enough detail to be discerned in the shadow areas. I like those streaky sunlit clouds.

a relaxing and soothing sunset shot. Love the composition and the subtle lighting that gives just enough fg detail to make the glory in the sky the main subject and complement it so beautifully.

A lovely sunset shot. You have managed the light well given the fact that you can still see the whites of the boat in the shadow of the harbour wall and the darker foreground contrasts with the orange glow of the sunset.

Your walk was worth it!

What a wonderful end to the day, a glorious sunset. The graduation of colour in yor sky is perfectly captured and the boats safely stowed gives a sense of serenity.

One of the best shots of Beadnell I have ever seen Bev.It is quite a difficult place to get a good composition but you have done very well here and a lovely sunset too. Well done.
