Photographer's Note

Hinton-in-the-Hedges Airfield is an airfield on the west side of Hinton-in-the-Hedges near Brackley, Northamptonshire, England.
As with many airfields in the surrounding area Hinton was built in 1940 by the RAF Bomber Command during World War II. and closed to military activity in 1945.

Hi, in spite of the eeather the colors are vivid and the red parts of this old airplane shine beautifully. Nicely cropped image.

Hello Romana,

This is a very well presented "full on" picture of this old biplane, its proud propellor and cowled radial engine dominating the picture and standing out boldly in bright red against a more sombre background. If anything, the heavy rain actaully adds to the attraction of the picture, those raindrops driving across the image in a fine diagonal line and raindrops also hanging on the wings of the aeroplane.

Gorgeous colours, excellent composition, perfect exposure and wonderful details and sharpness. You must have got soaked to the skin taking this one!

Well I think you must have taken this photo today.. but I did not see you.. Did you take it just before the snow started? its a great close up- with the driving rain creating a wonderful artistic affect.. are you and art teachers as well.. Enjoy Prague tomorrow Ricx
