[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Following my last post, this is another one of couples in York. Couldn't resist showing again that
wonderful 'hand in hand' bond... on Bishopgate.

This City Never Sleeps

You can hear the sound
Of the underground trains
You know it feels like distant thunder

You know there's so many people
Living in this house
And don't even know their names

Walls so thin I can almost
Hear them breathing
And if I listen in
I feel my own heart beating

(I guess it's just a feeling - in the city)

Elle est très artistique cette photo Robert, d'abord dans le choix de ce duotone, dans ces lumières parfaites, dans le choix du moment où les couples se croisent.
La voiture gêne un peu et c'est le seul élément qui pollue un peu ce belle scène.
Regards.
Daniel.

Neat street scene here, moment well caught, regular expressions, real life, and BW of course adds the dramatic factor.
cheers and enjoy your pint,
CT

The light on this is exceptional Robi. Great effect from the use of your wide angle lens, think I might invest in one of those. This shot seems to have elicited some interesting comments and provoked some thought. Nice work.
cheers
Leon

I guess this was evening light. It certainly worked very well in your favour. The youngest man has the best light and seems to be your focal point too. Excellent timing.
Kath

That fifth person in there...!
His presence is very obviuos and visible... He's touching their shoulders... Listening to their whispers...
Going step in step with their steps...

And now - you feel your city's rhythm...

Be you, Rob

I miss York... Walking over Ouse Bridge, hand in hand - (I spent the second half of my childhood there).
The light is really good here Robi - perfect for black and white. I like how you caught the young couple here, although I wish there wasn't that overlap between rucksack guy and baldy -I'd have preferred a slight gap between them.
Shallower depth of field would have improved it too; with the background details blurred, especially that lampost growing out of baldy's head...
I'm being picky though - this is well taken.

Cheers,
Ben
