Photographer’s Note
A 14th century lady working at her craftwork. I took this photo shortly before the previous post "Medieval York Seamtress". I used my Yashica 35mm point and shoot camera with flash. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the actors and their great attention to the daily life details of this era.

Hi, Stan,
I love these medieval period shots. The colors and detail are wonderful and it's a really nice view into early life. You've done a great job on them. Kind regards,

Hello Stan -
Well done! The fill flash on the P-N-S is just perfect. Most on-board flash units really look bad in such confined spaces.
Thank you for sharing

Wonderful lighting in this, with the soft light from the window showing all the details while still giving good contrast, and lots of colour. Great scan too. Well done!

And once again, I see a masters painting here. The wood in the foreground and under the table are so warm and comfortable. The whole scene is very peacful. I wonder if the DOF couldn't have been messed with to include the foreground rags and such. Very comfortable and pleasing shot. Thanks.

A good light, perhaps better than in the previous medieval one. The framing is good, the character is nicely dressed and very concentrated on her work and his grey neutral background nworks very well. Sharpness is also very good.
All the best,
Emmanuel

Hi Stan!
Nice lights to this portrait. I am thinking that this picture could be also nice in b&w, but I am a colour addicted like you. The contrasts are nice and the colours are great! The little light spots makes nice details.

Zeca

Hi Stan,
Once again you've framed your photo to give it the feel if a painting although I suspect the detail and color is better than one would see in a 14th century painting.
