This photograph is taken while walking and going from York Station to York Minster. I remember that this place was taken from the bridge built over River Ouse which flows through the center of a town. A part of York Minster of Gothic construction is visible in the long distance center. The buildings which make medieval times consider stand in a row on both sides of the winding road, and it will feel a time slip to them involuntarily. The circumference of the town is enclosed by the rampart of having been built from the 12th century to the 14th century. Although memory has faded, I remember faintly having visited Jorvik Viking Centre to return.
This photograph is scanned with CanoScan Lide60 and digitized.
The rampart which encloses the city: workshops
1. Crop the upper and the lower a bit
2. Partial noise reduction

Twenty year old maybe the same street today with the same buildings, but a little bit far for to take a new picture, and together look at or everything is the same.
High quality picture, an excellent subject.
Excellent composition, nice presentation
Very well done, TFS.

Les photographies n'ont rien perdu de leur charme. Belles propositions à travers ces prises de vue argentique.
L'intérêt architectural est manifeste.

Another historic treasure. The curved road leading to a partially revealed York Minster is very nice.

Interesting York scene for the blend of gothic and later architecture from the bridge road leading the eye into it.
I use Photoshop Elements software to alter the tones of older images. It would be capable to change the blue tone here to more natural color. I am a big fan of Elements and have been for years.
Have an excellent weekend,
