I go back to Whitby that I visited a week ago with Mariusz :). It was a bit windy day, not so much after the heavy storms two days earlier. It was cloudy but I found the weather really good.
This is a panorama of the harbour area. On the left there are piles of the lobster pots that are stacked quite high and also make a nice image, maybe I will post it later. The fishermen take the pots out to sea and leave them marked by the colourful flags. They hope they are full of lobsters and crabs when they return. Probably one can have delicious lobsters but I haven't seen them.
In the background on the cliff top is the 12th century St. Mary’s church and behind it the famous Whitby Abbey.

Ciao e buona domenica

Bardzo często taka duża ilość elementów kompozycji powoduje nieład i chaos, ale Tobie udało się znaleźć odpowiedni punkt widzenia, aby scena wyglądała rzeczywiście interesująco. Świetny rezultat! Bardzo mi się podoba!

you have taken full advantage of a rather dull day to show the very attractive colours of the boats in the harbour alongside the warm tones of the buildings in a fine photograph.
It has a really nice depth and exceptional clarity with not a soul in sight.
Kind regards Les.

You seem to have made the most of your recent trip to the UK, visiting many interesting places. I like this composition, which shows the still busy fishing harbour and the dominating presence of the abbey. Despite the grey sky, the image is pleasantly lit and has very good colours and sharpness.

lovely shot of this old seaside favourite. This wonderfully detailed image has so much to look at, and really captures the very essence and beauty of the place. Superb!

Hello Malgo ,
What a picturesque port ! And a festival of colors despite of the cloudy sky . May be a feeling of tilt to the left .

this is a place I would like to see, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. It is a wonderfully moody seascape. The colors and the light are amazing and the composition is excellent. My compliments also for the nice note!

Hello Malgo - Whitby is known for its picturesque harbour, the abbey and for its excellent smoked kippers. This shot displays the harbour beautifully, we can see quite clearly that it is not just a tourist spot but it is still a working port. So much to see and enjoy here! warm regards Rosemary

Another fine photo from Dracula's town. The sea and the many boats of various sizes make the foreground very interesting and lively. The light was good in spite of the clouds. The colours are nicely mild, but still quite intense. This looks like a very pretty place indeed.

Lovely muted colours, a result of the weather you mention, I guess. But they're rich as well as muted and create a very satisfying image.

Fabulous composition with this beautiful harbor with its boats so colorful, cheering the image, the view of the population and more above its oldest buildings, constitute a set of great beauty.

This shot has a lot of cool things to look at! First, my eyes enjoy the scene of the harbor with all the colors of the various boats. The combination of these and the texture of the old wooden pier is brilliant! Then the town, which looks a little like a toy town and that’s something I love because it means I could potentially make a copy out of Lego. And then the crowning glory, the abbey and church at the top! I have always admired shots I’ve seen of Whitby Abbey, but I never knew it was so close to the sea! Thanks for a very interesting pic, and for teaching me something new today!
All the best

It looks like a calm day here, no wind seems to disturb the water mirror. There are an abundance of details here with all these different boats and background buildings. The old buildings on top of the hill add a lot of interest to the picture.

Przyjemnie sie oglada I wspomina.

wow, lots going on here!
looking more closely, i really enjoy the homes and buildings on the other side of the water.
maybe i'm wrong, but they look very 'english' lol
love that rustic looking architecture.
same goes for the buildings up on the hilltop too.
lots to keep me interested.
Merry Christmas to you and your family :)

Perhaps a slight cw rotation otherwise all is perfect. Good framing, sharpness, color saturation and composition and marvellous reflections in this busy and picturesque harbourside scene. Nice repetition of the boats and the channel between th emoored boats nicely leads the eye in and adds perspective. Tfs and have a safe and prosperous New Year!
