Photographer’s Note
Here we have another shot from underneath Saltburn Pier. It was taken on the same day as my earlier picture Under The Pier. I titled the shot 'Fake Mist' due to the effect created from a slow shutter speed on the rough sea. It's one of those effects which you don't see with the naked eye and only comes out in photography.
We all know the camera lens is nothing compared to the human eye but it's nice to capture something the eye doesn't see sometimes.

Hi Paul;
Cool shot... I was out last night also playing around with slow shutter speeds.
Looks more like clouds then water doesn't it...
Good composition/ cropping to compliment the shot.
Nice work,

I love this misty effect too Paul. We should thank the council in getting something right for a change when they lit up the pier.

Hi Paul,
didn't know there are lights under the pier in Saltburn... is this something new?
It looks almost like a space craft or a scene from a Sci-Fi, if you don't mind me saying.
Interesting work,
Robi
