What I like most about the place I live in now is the proximity of the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. There are larger towns nearby like Whitby or Scarborough but also smaller towns, some of which I showed you already here like Saltburn, Staithes or Robin Hood’s Bay. Last Sunday we had a nice weather forecast for half a day so we tried to make the best use of it by going to the beach. Wind and temperature did not encourage for a sunbath but it is always nice to have a stroll along the beach or eat an ice cream while enjoying a beautiful view. As you can guess the photo was taken at the low tide.

Cześć Mariusz, Milo czytać, jak Ci sie cos podoba w Twojej okolicy :). Ładnie polozona miejscowośc na zboczu. Ale chyba tez brodziłes po wodzie?? Fajnie rozchodzą sie te chmurki. Przyjemne zdjecie. No i jak pogoda dopisała.

Very nice shot ! You used very well the lines on the sand to add depth and drive us to the vilage in the background. Very beautiful colours and good sharpness.

Hello Mariusz - The east coast of England has lovely wide beaches at low tide and this shot capitalises on the ripples and reflections which form a large part of your composition. An attractive seaside scene with lots to enjoy.

Marvelous blue sky aloft contrast the brown wet sand of the low tide, mariusz.
A mirror of the hill and small town, well spotted from the chosen POV, superbly placed on pic. space.
Fine composed photo.

A lovely shot with a great feeling of depth and wonderful light which turns this to such a clean shot and the contrasting colors catch the eye here. It's nicely constructed compo with the rippled sands forming strong diagonal lines -a positive influential element- leading through to the backdrop. It's very crispy and i am sure you have clearly put a huge amount of effort into it. A great capture, Congrats

So sad you couldn't meet us, this year. Maybe next time!
This is a beautifully executed shot. Your view, back towards the village, is well chosen, allowing you to use the leads of the sand ripples, the reflections in the pool and the view of the village itself, all under a great sky.
Have a great day,

What a very wide beach!
At first I wondered why you didn't take the village, the cliff, the green hill and their reflections much closer. But I agree that the ripples in the wet sand make a very beautiful foreground. Also the lines in the sky look wonderful.
And actually you wanted to show us a beautiful panorama of the North Yorkshire coast and you really succeeded.
Best regards, Paul

Well, finally not complain but praise
Indeed the low tide provided a kind of mirrow to reflect the village and provide deep all in contrast with a very nice sky and clouds ( as always)
Good work about a interesting place with good informative note
Must be a pleasure to walk on the wet sand , are you so far from the beach as it seems ?
mirosu (16273) 2014-06-08 5:57
I like very much how balanced and elegant this landscape composition looks as you have employed the elements that define the scenery, the colours and the perspectives in an excellent way. We get a great idea of this beautiful, relaxing place and of its natural surroundings, depth and clarity are superb. Apart from that, even beyond the physical description, the picture is a delight to look at for its beautiful light and excellent reflections.
Very well done.

Doskonale wykorzystałeś ten teren przypływowy, piękne zmarszczki na piasku, doskonałe odbicie tego miasteczka, brawo

Mariusz, low tides offer great landscapes but your presentation is beyond and above any expectation..perfect timing to catch the low tide but also the scattered clouds, the perfect reflection and the magnificent colors!! a fine postcard!!

Stunning view of a very beautiful, I love this closeup with sand ripples, very visible at low tide, lovely village we see at the bottom, which also embellish the image with its beautiful reflections, sky with the light touch clouds, also contributes to the success of the image.
A gorgeous image with good color, high brightness and perfect sharpness.
Well done. I love it.
Have a good week.
All the best.

You certainly are making the most of living near this gorgeous coastline. And you've chosen an exquisite moment both in terms of the light and the tide, in which to take the shot. Bathe textures in the sand are a delight. On top of that we get the reflections from the little town and the magnificent colours created by that blue sky. The hint of clouds are the icing on the cake and I understand completely why you chose half-half framing instead of Thirds. Congratulations and what a great note too.
Angshu (56758) 2014-06-17 23:15
The water at best seems to be ankle deep and yet the reflection of the village and the hills is beautiful. The ripples in the sand crate a good lead-in and the streaky clouds in the sky are beautiful as well...
Your latest series of pictures remind me of the travails of William 'Strata' Smith, the Geologist credited with the first geological map, who worked in Someset and aeas similar to your picture
Many Happy returns of the day :-)
Waylim (25502) 2014-07-10 17:20
How you you get to this POV without getting all muddy shoes and feet? I love the pattern of the mud and sand with enough water to cast a nice reflection of the village on the hill. Beautiful day with good clarity and blue sky. One of those very rare day. I see most picture from around here are gray and rainy.
Excllent quality and beuatiful composition.
