Photographer's Note

I remember when I first saw the phrase Great British summer I laughed at the word great but then I realized that Great British refers to Great Britain and not to the quality of summer...
I have also seen somewhere a T-shirt saying:
I LOVE ENGLISH SUMMER
IT IS MY FAVOURITE DAY OF THE YEAR
Indeed summer in Britain tends to be short. Last year was an exception since several hundred years so we have the hope that it is a sign of global warming and will happen this year again. In recent days we have temperatures reaching early twenties (21-23°C) which is as high as it can get here. Let’s hope it lasts longer.

*Day after I posted this photo the temperature dropped down few degrees and in two days it should be back to typical 13-14 degrees Celsius.

This photo presents St Mary the Virgin church in Nunthorpe. Nunthorpe is a village next to Marton which I presented recently. Nunthorpe is probably the most expensive part of Middlesbrough. If you have good eyes you can spot on the church tower the flag of England which means the temple belongs to the Church of England.
