Photographer's Note

Hovingham is a delightful village situated just a few mile from the Castle Howard estate in Ryedale, North Yorkshire. It has all the features of a traditional English country village - a tearoom, a couple of pubs, a village green, a little stream running through and a church close to its centre.

The church building of All Saints dates back to 1860 when it was rebuilt at the expense of Marcus Worsley. Hovingham has been the family home of the Worsley's since the 16th century.
