Photographer’s Note

Near Helmsley, North Yorkshire, these flowers seemed to glow despite heavy overcast gloom.
The field is post-flowering oilseed rape with a weed problem.

to me this picture appears a bit to dark and I would to see it in black and white.

That said it is an interesting subject matter and some good clouds

A very good result for a dull day, Colin!
Love the dramatic clouds that turned greens quite dark,
and redness of the poppies.
I was recently shooting poppies, too (what an adventure
that was!), but was unlucky with the light. Eventually I
had to leave the field as because a storm was approaching
rapidly... LOL!!!
