Photographer’s Note

Duncombe Park is the home of Charles Duncombe, Lord Feversham, and his wife, Lady Feversham. (Duncombe is the family name; Feversham is the title) It is in the small market town of Helmsley close to the castle. Open from May to October, it has over 400 acres of grounds with three different walks to enjoy. Entry to the house itself is by guided tour only.

The house was originally built in 1713, but was gutted by fire in 1879. Restoration began in 1891 and completed in 1894. For a period of 60 years from 1924 the house was leased out to a girl’s school, but the present Lord & Lady Feversham decided to make it their home and have re-decorated the rooms as closely to the original decoration as possible.

This is my first “real” panorama on TE. It is a stitch of 7 vertical images. As it is my 500th post I decided to try something new for me. Please look at the large version to see the architectural details.

Now it's uploaded I'm disappointed with the quality of the LP. I had 6 attempts to upload it. According to PS it was the correct size but TE wouldn't accept it so I had to reduce the quality with even more compression.

2nd addition
Thanks to Jean Yves I managed to reduce the size and re-do the LP. I think it's better now.
