Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

Well, I'm nearing the end of my series about the canals in my local area.

My penultimate one pays particular interest to the narrowboats. These beautiful vessls are an important feature on the canals with their bright paintwork and individual adornments. They are the caravans of the water but, in my opinion, with much more individuality and attractiiveness. They are akin to the very old, horse-drawn gypsy caravans.

Here, you can see them berthed, or sleeping at the edge of the tow paths.

I have had a lot to say in my previous postings but for a very interesting, virtual tour of the canal, please click here.

Many thanks for your visit.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph.
Bev :-)
