Today is a particularly wet and windy day! The lanes and fields are slowly disappearing under several cms of rainwater!
I hope you will humour me and be content to look at the last of my shots showing Grassington under its strange 'light'. This shot is a little to the left of my last posting and captures not only the dry stone walls, the rolling green fields but also some of the wild plants that live in partnership with the walls.
Maybe you will be able to appreciate the sudden dark clouds which cast shadows on the fields but allowed large gaps through which the light escaped and created incredibly bright, irridescent patches of grass!
***Many thanks for your continued support. I am proud to have reached the lofty heights of 1,000 points! **
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of this photgraph! :-)

Wow, what a beautiful landscape! The lighting is wonderful, a mix of sun and shadow that really seems to show the landscape very well, and with a great sense of depth too. I like the inclusion of the rocks and thistle in the foreground, as it adds a good sense of depth. Well done!

A typical but beautiful English landscape, nicely shot from a right angle. The rocks and the plants at the front are nice details as well,(you could have sharpen it a bit)

Another fine photograph from this same location. Fabulous lighting and textures and a glorious sky. Perhaps not quite up to the mark of your last posting, but pretty damn good.
P.S. Here's to the next thousand points!

belle photo de ces prés séparré par des mur de pierres et des haie comme dans nos anciens temps, cela est bien mieux que nos barbellés,qui gâche le paysage.Bon POV et très bonne profondeur de champ. Jolies couleurs et bonne netteté.

It's a very nice landscape shot. Colors and composition are very good.
Meanwhile, I would have choosen to focus on the back part and not on the first plan.

Grassington is a place I love - despite the town being so busy and touristy nowadays. Your shot captures well this familiar view of the surrounding ountryside. These weather conditions are the best for photographing this landscape I think, with the clouds moving across and casting their shadows. FG could be sharper but the composition is excellent.
Best wishes Maggie

beautiful image, very good point of view and lighting, I like the green in the foreground and the marvelous sky. In my region there are the same kind of walls, so intriguing matter...

This is a wonderfully brooding view of the lovely English countryside with the ever changing sky. This strange light renders beautiful varying shades of green with a bit of danger and a bit of hope. The old stone fence makes a great line through this beautiful landscape.
