Photographer’s Note
.........Hidden Dragon
Dune Jumping has got to be one of the safest dangerous sports around – the point of view here emphasises the height of the subject but this was also some leap. A guaranteed soft landing! No somersaults in this one but plenty of flying through the air….the right way up this time!
Link number 13 in my twenty photograph renga! To recap we have had:
1. Ride a White Swan
2. A White Swan in a Nest
3. A Black Swan in a Nest of Drums
4. A Black Faced Morris Dancer
5. A Face Painted Kid (or two)
6. A Bus Shelter with a Painted Face and a Passing Car
7. A Message about our over use of Oil and Transport with Another Passing Car
8. Wash Me I’m Yours!
9. Heading for A Fall
10.Rebel
11. When I Grow Up….
12. I Want To Do This!
13. Crouching Tiger…..

Another fine action shot, and good in B&W. I'd never even heard of that sport, seem to learn something new every day on TE.

This is awesome Kev,I liked the B/W here much.. may be the color will not have muc inpact on this as i can imagine the blue sky and some other color of his shirt ( may not be a good contrast as it is in B/W). nice choice anyway.. and the POV.. its incredible.

I like this view. Jumping guy with that sky on the background- very good. Ground on the bottom looks interesting. This man is like frozen. good work, good luck

excellent shot! i had never in my life heard of 'dune jummping'. it really tells us something about where you live, unlike a nature photo or perhaps even an architecture photo could do. great job.

Nice composition, Kev, it's good that he's jumping INTO the picture. An interesting activity, too, I hadn't heard of it before, either.
The tones are maybe slightly bland for B/W. You could bring out more contrast in the sand, and perhaps make the guy almost a silhouette, though I'm not sure if that would work. But the main point is the activity, and that's very well depicted already.
