The north Nofolk Coast is stunningly beautiful with several small coastal towns that were once closer to the sea before many of the channels silted up. With the exception of the morning that I took this photograph the weather was very warm and sunny. However, I rather liked the mood created by the sea mist.
Wells-next-the-Sea is now about a mile from open sea so no longer an important port as it was during Tudor times. The town is very quaint with narrow lanes and interesting old houses. The small port can still be used as there is an open channel to the sea. The channel has a raised bank running beside it from which I took this photo. 'Wells' is derived from the old word 'welles' meaning clear spring.

misty mornings and cooler days are creeping up on us again now as we slide into autumn. I love the simplicity of this shot and it so typical of this part of England. My nephew runs a pub on the Broads so I know this part of the UK well. Peaceful and irresistibly tranquil.
Have a great weekend - regards Brian.

A very peaceful and calm view, with very soft and subdued colours. The buoys add a certain pattern, as well as colours. The rounded forms of the sandy shoreline make a very attractive pattern.

You have captured a very fine, moody atmosphere in the mist. I like the nicely curved lines and the fine blend of grey and light brown tones. In this kind of light the yellow and red buoys add almost shocking splashes of colour.

sometimes the mist can be really captivating-like here in your composition. It helps you to create here so unique and kind of mysterious mood of the scene.
Simple composition, but in this case simplicity is the biggest advantage of this image. No distraction just the beautiful nature and unique mood of this misty morning.
Wish You a nice weekend

Ciao e buon fine settimana

Hi dear Ann
Great shot! Winding river makes so well balanced and so reasonable composition at all. Some yellow floats are very good accbnet in the fogy moody view.
All the best and have a good Saturday! TAKERO

Although this was taken in early July, nonetheless the scene appears more appropriate to the present time as we now feel summer slipping away and colder, mistier weather approaching.
An excellent composition, the curvature of the water's edge leading the eye nicely around the sandy spit of land and off to the distance where the mist hangs in the trees. The bright red and yellow buoys make a fine foreground feature too. Lovely light and soft colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness which are all, of course, much better appreciated in the larger version as seen on "beta" TE.

This scene reminds me of a childhood trip with my parents over 40 years ago. We rented a house boat and traveled the Norfolk broads for a week. The thing I still remember was the rain and the mist like in your fine composition. The yellow buoys create a good line for the eye to follow in to the scene.
have a great sunday

Très beau rendu de ce paysage sous ce voile qui donne de la douceur aux teintes.Les bouées jaunes et la bouée rouge donnent une bonne touche à cette image en attirant notre regard.

A shot which captures mood so very well.
I really like how the curving line of the water takes us on a tortuous path from the relative clarity of the f/g to the mystery of the greyed silhouettes. A lovely composition.
The spots of bright colour help the movement from f/g to b/g.
My warm regards,

A sweeping coastal scape that seems endlessly taking our views into the very far end. This is dynamic as they change in shape, texture and even orientation after the change of tide. The compo is wise bundled by soft tones and light creating this a very moody shot with diffuse misty background disappears into the distance. But wonderful that those buoys' vivid colours hold our focus so strongly there thus lead smoothly into the whole scene. It's an achievement considering this was taken at weak light and above all this shot evokes that special feeling, mood and tranquility. It's beautifully done, My congrats

This is a scene seems familiar to me as my home is by the Solway Firth on a similar estuary. Sandy mud flats coupled with the sight and sound of seabirds are so atmospheric. Here the colourful buoys lift the scene and provide an attractive contrast.
