Another post from the National Trust property, Oxburgh Hall. Oxburgh Hall is a moated manor house in Norfolk, East Anglia. It was built in the 15th Century by Sir Edmund Bedingfeld and now owned by the National Trust. I rather like the view from the roof top looking down onto a group of National Trust orange deck chairs.
The National Trust is a charity that works to preserve and protect historic places and spaces. It was founded over 100 years ago. In 1884 Octavia Hill was asked to help preserve Sayes Court garden in London and provided the idea of the National Trust. The other co-founders of the Trust were Sir Robert Hunter and Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley. Officially it was inaugurated in 1894. The first propery was bought in 1896 and was Alfriston Clergy House in Sussex. By 2011 there were 4 million members of The National Trust and the number of volunteers exceeded 60,000. In addition to hundreds of properties the Trust now owns 742 miles of coastline.
Please view the WS to see a classic view of Oxburgh Hall.

I've just been looking at the NT website about Oxburgh Hall and it looks to be a delightful place. Thanks for your note about the history of the National Trust too.
I love your workshop picture which gives an excellent wider view of this lovely building and its gardens but your main picture is a much more personal interpretation of the place. The "bird's eye view" is delightful and well composed too with the curving row of orange NT deckchairs perfectly placed and with a show of bright red flowers anchoring the composition on the left. Even the little piece of walling at bottom left helps the framing no end.
Lovely light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.

Looking down on these colourful deckchairs makes for a great graphical composition. They are nicely arranged across the frame and superbly lit. Excellent saturated colours and sharpness. Love the detail to be observed in the sandy ground. Well spotted and beautifully presented. Pouring with rain and thunderstorms here today, so this is a very pleasant reminder of summer.

A scene totally impossible to turn into a photo, unless You do it the way You did! Very clever, and highly attractive outcome.

Well seen, photographers have a third eye to see hidden views ;o)
You caught the perfect alignment, a subject well contrasted against the background and added a spoon of fun.

a little lesson in how to compose a photograph with the deckchairs making a delightful arc around the vertical corners. The colours are a delight and details sharp and very clear.
Warm regards Les.

Hello Ann - This is a well seen and clever shot. The orange deckchairs are nicely arranged and I especially like the fact that the figures are divided 2 and 3 according to age! A good note and shot which promotes the NT; what a great organisation. Warm regards Rosemary

A superb downward pov with good sharpness and density / levels. Punchy light contrasts with excellent saturation and colour. I like the repetition of the orange deckchairs and the L shaped arrangement on a diagonal axis, which adds dynamism and lead in lines that direct the eye around the image. Tfs!

A delightful shot.
It brings back memories of seats in a castle courtyard in Ludlow!
The arrangement of the seats couldn't have been better placed for your composition whilst their colour is every photographers' dream.
The figures add a scenario. We cannot help but speculate on the purpose of the youngsters and compare it with that of the older people.
Have a lovely Sunday,

Clever observation that only a keen photographers eye would notice. I wouldn't trust any of them though! Especially the gut with the hat - he's got something to hide - probably a bald patch!

looking at the WS photo, i was seriously impressed! I wasn't expecting that style of architecture...heck I would have posted that as a main post! :)
thats how much i like it!
this shot here is totally different, a 180 degree opposite. yet i understand why you took it.
I'm sure John won't enjoy the height/depth here with his vertigo :)
the orange is a color we actually don't see very often in photos, I wonder why that is? but it works well here as a focal point in a dramatic way.

An extremely strong eye puller down below, effective play of curvy lines, shapes and bold stinging colors glueing the eyes there. You have great hawk eyes and strong sense of smell spotting the potential of making a grand image. Good lighting too and luminous, the touch of white further enhances the visual effect. I love this. Congrats.

Hi Ann, Splendid manor houxse in WS. It looks like a castle. The main photo looks rather funny. The people enjoy sun in these red sun chairs. It seems delightful place to visit. You have so many such places in Englad!

Ciao e buona giornata

A peek from above to discover those red chairs with the people relaxing. Original idea for a well done composition with very good quality standards.

A unique POV and exciting composition. I love the graphism created by these people seated in the sun. The warm light and vivid colours make this very attractive. Excellent definition and contrast.
Thanks for sharing, have a lovely day
