Photographer’s Note

This view is looking up at the spire of Norwich Cathedral. At 315 feet (96m) it is the secondest highest cathedral spirein England after Salisbury Cathedral.

Norwich Cathedral was built in the 11th century in a traditional Norman style.

good capture and composition of this church (cathedral) tower.
good DOF, POV and colors...
I just think that the sharpness would be easily improved with a PP.
I did a WS.

Hello, Finlay.

This is a very nice shot - well exposed, clear and with an excellent sky. I'm not sure if a tad more sharpening might have helped it but it's excellent as it is.

A good note too - I suppose the original cathedral here was built in Norman style but this spire, I think, is much later as are the flying butresses - perpendicular Gothic?

And, whoo - hoo!! You've got yourself a new camera too! Are you enjoying it?

Hi Finlay, like the POV here with some nice angles. It does lack a little sharpness, but the workshop seems to have taken care of that. You will find that happens quite often when you resize your shots for TE. Best regards, Roberto

Well chosen point of view from below.
I have to agree with other critiques about lack of sharpness. Probably you didn't do sharpening after downsizing the photo. Even if original full size photo is very sharp or even over-sharpened, it's always necessary to apply sharpening after resizing, not before.
