I've waited some time to be able to capture a clear shot like this over Merseyside showing an elevated view of Liverpool, River Mersey, Wallasey and just visible the River Dee above the engine cowling.
It shows quite clearly Merseyside illuminated by the street lighting whilst the sky is lit by the early morning dawn light. The rare absence of any cloud made for a clear, crisp morning ideal for the shot.
The picture was taken from the pilot seat of a Beech 200 King Air at about 16,000 feet at 7.30am. The picture has been cropped but otherwise unchanged. There is some light reflection seen in the shot from instrumentation inside the cockpit.

In terms of viewpoint & colour this is actually quite good, the morning light is good, the river is clearly visible too. The shot is very noisy though, this could be due to a high ISO number being set, this could be fixed with some more post-processing.

Beautiful morning view. Street lights are in good balance with natural light. I can imagine that the weather is not that clear very often over there. View of the propeller gives originality not possible for us tourist class passengers.

Curvature of the earth quite marked.
