Mister Softie parked his van
near the Albert Docks.
Three graces in the background,
waiting for customers.
Categorie? Let's say 'daily life' and 'humorous'...
Story of my life, really...
Liverpool is quite a nice place, by the way.
Quite sunny too, with a bit of luck!

Hello Benny ,
Les pavés mouillés , le ciel de traine et la belle lumière ajouttent au charme de cette épatante composition , avec la camionnette au premier plan , et de beaux mobuments en fond de décor .

This is great, it takes me back to my old neighborhood as a child. We had a Mister Softee ice cream truck that would pass through each week, and I always looked forward to it's arrival. This is a much more enviable setting though, certainly more picturesque as you've composed it with the lovely architecture in the background...the only thing I got to see were the houses across the street!? Anyway, this is a bright, cheerful and nostalgic image. It may be commonplace, but this was an unexpected and happy surprise to see parked in England. Thanks for helping to relive some great memories. :) Enjoy the weekend.

Hello Benny - I love this shot, for me it is pure nostalgia. When I was a child, I use to listen out for the sound of the ice-cream van's approach (Mr Whippy when I was small, the tune was 'Greensleeves' and the moment I heard it my mother was the subject for my nagging voice. I has to have a cone!
This shot is super, the colours of the van and bollard really stand out against the more natural tones of the architecture. Where are the children? Times have changed and I guess these days an ice-cream is no longer a treat! Warm regards Rosemary

I saw this kind of van only in UK, typically a british shot ! Good POV, nice light, good sharpness.

I like everything in this scene; the light, the wet pavement, the mood, the succession of interesting elements, the sky, and of course, Mr. Softie... What a vehicle!
This shot is full of nostalgia and charm, with this truck from another era. It's simply beautiful and vibrantly attractive.

looks like Mr Softie found a good spot with a nice view. Love the light, cool truck and tight composition.

Bit cold for a Mister softie today, great Pov, against the architecture buildings in the Bg, comical note, you are obviously a guy with a great sense of humour. Well managed and presented, Tfs,

Always a pleasure to see a shot of Liverpool! I'll be there next weekend.
Love the retro ice cream van - I was more a Mister Whippy fan as a kid! I like the matching waste bin!
As for metropolis worlds colliding - I'm a a big fan of the Motorhead version!

I REALLY REALLY wanted to comment on your Cambodia photos, but i just couldn't resist this truck...its an ice cream truck right?
very cool indeed! so unique, it totally livens up the scene - even though it clashes with the historic architecture in the bg.
excellent light too.

bel éclairage entre les averses; je reviens d'Angleterre et suis surpris de voir les anglais manger des glaces dehors par des températures assez basses (
