Lucky...blue skies, great weather and I happen to have a camera with me, that's a rare combination for me when in Liverpool. Usually I don't take a camera with me on football trips, but this time I convinced my kid to lend me her pocket camera. A small, handy ditty.
Liverpool has changed a lot over the last decades. An inner city wasteland has been turned into a fancy shopping area, and the docklands have been turned into a playground for modern architecture. Some good, some...well...the debate is going on.
On the left here you see the much appreciated Museum of Liverpool, opinions about the black box on the right are divided (to say the least), particularly because it stands in the way of the classic view towards the famous Live Building and some of other Victorian riverfront buildings.
The people are still the same, though.
So is the river.

Seems like a long time since I noticed your name under a photo on TE. I wondered where you'd been, but perhaps I should have wondered where I'd been.
Anyway, it's good to see you have lost none of your skills. You've made a delight out of this scene, by making the bright red buoy the highlight and focal point, and teasing us with the partial view of the Live building at the rear. Nice exposure, pleasing composition/crop, excellent note. I see you are a Liverpool FC fan!

like this! An original shot of Liverpool with a compelling mix of old and new in the bg and of course the perfectly placed red ring to give both impact and style to the image. Well done.
