Here is a recent attempt to portray the impressive structure within the city centre of Manchester. Urbis is a modern building situated within the famous Cathedral Gardens. Well worth a visit.
Ref: Question by Sayzey, the building is actually called, Urbis. Stupid as it sounds, Urbis is a museum about life in big cities, such as London and Manchester. I know it sounds a bit daft, but it is really good.
I have done a quick workshop on this image, it's till not quite straight, I quite like the not perfect angle. Have darkened the blue sky and sharpened the image, however as a rule it is only basic workshop. (27th September 2005)

Nice composition with the building breaking the sky.

Hey Andrew, I like this shot, or rather I like the idea of this shot, like cristophe said, I think its like a ship, or rather more it reminds me of the top of a submarine!
I dont really understand your note and your ERROR comment, I assumed this building was called urbis? Am I wrong? If so what is the building and what is it used for?
Now onto the shot again, there is a very obviously much room for improvement, in your post processing work if nothing else, the image looks low quality remember you have 200kb to work with so using just 62kb is a waste, and it shows in this photo. The sky is noisy and the building just looks grainy. I woudl attempt a workshop but I dont think i coudl make it loko any better with only 62kb to play with.
I do however like the building against this sy, with the quirky angle you have shot at, perhaps you coudl play around with your original image and post a workshop?
Hope you dont think im being too harsh, I only want to help yo improve thsi photo, it has potential, you just need to be able to unlock it

Nice shot of this building I've not seen before. I do think you should take Sayzey's advice, however, and make the most of allowable image size - rotation and cropping are also perfectly allowable - and don't feel bad about doing it, it's part of the creative process to present your work to its best for everyone else to look at.

Nice capture of this building
I like the way the sky is reflecting on the mirrors of the building and creating a kind of graphical illusion

I'm a big fan of architecture photographs in general, and I find this building intriguing. The lines are very modern and it reminds me of the flatiron style and art deco in a very new way. I actually like the tilted angle and wouldn't mind seeing it even more tilted!
