Manchester Arndale (the The Arndale Centre or The Arndale) is a large shopping centre in Manchester, England. The centre was built in phases between 1972 and 1979, at a cost of £100 m.

The centre was redeveloped after the 1996 Manchester bombing. The centre has a retail floorspace of just under 1,500,000 sq ft (140,000 m2) making it Europe's largest city-centre shopping mall with 38 million visitors annually.

Les ombres ont rempli l'espace vide et elles font l'image. On n'a pas besoin de belles couleurs pour rester avec cette photo. Amicalement, Clodo,

Bonjour Claude

I don't like shopping centers very much, except maybe those really flashy ones in the far east, but that's not what this picture is about. It's not even about beauty.

I like the composition, the playful reflections of the (probably not all that appealing) ironwork above, the humourous "you are here" sign and - of course - the dedication to dear Papera.

That's more than a-plenty to like, so here's another thumbs up from me.

On se perd sans doute facilement dans ce centre commercial... Le panneau nous le rappelle! J'aime bien les ombres graphiques et le choix du noir et blanc qui accentue l'ambiance!

The shape looks like one of those large lampshade desk lights with excellent graphics like from the shadows. Quality contrasts Claude, the sign is funny for some reason.
