Taken just downstream from the Westminster Bridge and across the Thames from the Eye. Two decidedly London icons on a crisp December day.

You are quite right. :) This is true, these are two, out of a few, specific symbols of London. Very good and "crisp" catch, good bright colors and it is really interesting how you managed to make both of them to stand together on one photo.

Beautiful signature images of London. Both well captured in brilliant clarity and colors.

I like it.....it seems to jump out at you. The bright red telephone box, with it's british crown emblem, creates an excellent representation of England. To me the image would have worked better without the inclusion of the "Eye", as it in itself is a bold enough statement. The colour and clarity in the photo is superb. Well done.

Two visual treasures of London, one old and one much newer. I like the juxtaposition of the two, and also the dominant red, white and blue to remind us again of the location! The phone box seems to be almost 3D, an effect enhanced by the distortion. I like the branches above, their twisted shapes giving contrast to the man-made ones.

Deux symboles de Londres superbement mis en page avec une maitrise impressionnante de l'exposition et des couleurs magnifiques.

Just when that I think that one of the most photographed icons in the world can't be taken at a different angle or POV, out comes a great shot like this one. This is a marvelously creative image and I especially like the way that you framed the old phone booth and the Eye with the branches. Congratulations for your wonderful portrait of perhaps the world's greatest city!

I don't understand why you write about two symbols. I see in your excellent picture three symbols : the two you mentioned and the blue sky which is the third symbol !!!! of London.
I like your composition and of course the colours.

Really nice layout to this image, very nice colour rendition. London through and through!
Best wishes, Hisashi

This is National Geographic! I swear I was just reading a book titled "National Geographic Field Guide" and it said to try to find a unique perspective of something familiar. The photo was Westminster Abbey reflected in a taxi cab window. This is just as cool! Perfectly executed and very original.

Two English icons in one image, combining red and blue, so how can it be better?
Absolute great capture with those dark colours which i like a lot. Very good eye in seeing and composing...well done.

I am a fan of these traditional phone booths, and I have added your photo to my theme "Red telephone kiosks". I hope you don't mind.
I like the colours of your photo, with the bright red against the deep blue sky and the white London Eye, as are the other buildings in the background! The colours of the Union Jack, as a free extra gift!
The composition is good too, with the mixture of circular and straight lines.
I have added a little WS , in which I have straightened the telephone booth. I hope I haven't betrayed your idea behind the photo.
