This photograph is taken in Trafalgar Square in City of London in January 20 years ago. It is situated in the borough of the City of Westminster. It was built in commemoration of the naval battle of Trafalgar in 1805. In the 1820s, George IV will request the redevelopment of this area from John Nash, a builder. It is 1845 to have become the present form. I remember that the countless pigeon was in the square with many tourists. The building which is back visible is the National Gallery. This square was visible to place in which the influence of once British Empire is impressed rather than the beautiful square.

Nice capture this is. So many birds and they are not afraid at all. The shadows are looking great with the nice background of the building.

Rare shining daylight in London, Mikio, and you very well taken the opportunity, and in winter!
Fine scanned photo, with superb clarity and DOF, contrast of vivid colors.

A nice memento from 1993. I can't believe 1990s are fading into history already. I wonder if that cute little boy running after the pigeons is a college graduate now, ready to start a family of his own.

An interesting street view and a very good scan. A different scene than your usual pictures from present Japan, but still a good contribution to TE!

Excellent photo view of busy Trafalgar Square in very good light. Considering scanning processing the quality is very good.

Interesting Trafalgar Square scene for the mass of pigeons, probably fed seed frequently?, and human interaction with the red white modern circular structure looking like it does not belong with the classical architecture.
