Walking in Notting Hill, one of the smartest neighborhoods of London, you meet all kind of people, what happens most likely if you pass near a school, when mothers are waiting for their children to go out
I noticed these two women exchanging ideas, complaining or so I believe, beside two empty chairs, while the window glasses reflect the good and nice houses of the place, at the back, the college entrance with good iron work
Note: This mix of cultures, breeds, religions, customs and therefore clothes and meals is what (my idea) made of London a quite attractive city, talking about the tourist point of view

nice the snapshot from London with the two Muslim women to are the main theme of your photo.Really London was made the most mix of cultures and so on as you write in your note.
I'll be there from 1-7 of Apr. so i'll see all these cultures that are known in Greece the last ten years.

fine daily life shot with excellent clarity and details. We can but guess what the two ladies are talking about. Your nice framing has made this a very harmonious and pleasing composition. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day.

i have not been in London for many years now but I can still remember the mix of nationalities there. I guess most countries in the world are represented there. Good composition of two muslim women in front of a shop, it also a good daily life shot, tfs!

A pleasant steret-shot from London and a very typical everyday view from this city of great cultural mixture. My instincts tell me these women may originally come from Egypt. Maybe I am totally wrong :-). In London people come from everywhere.

Bonjour Ms. Nikkitta,
I agree, and although only having spent but one day in London, it did appear to have a fairly good mixture of cultures, ethnicities, customs, etc. Love the title you chose, it had me instantly scanning the image for other objects that were in "2's"...two handbags, two pair of shoes and two amusing expressions! :)
Great moment you captured here, there could be a million interpretations of the conversation taking place. I can see the woman on the left complaining about...well, anything really...and the woman on the right looks as if she's smirking about her friends choice of apparel. lol
Another good observation that is relatable to most, and is a wonderful depiction of the daily street scene. Quick thinking to grab this opportunity. Well done indeed. Enjoy the day ahead. Warmest regards.
Friendly wishes from way up North,

Hello Mary. A well-observed everyday scene. I like this realistic photo very well.

if it wasn't for the description one could think the picture has been taken somewhere in Middle East, not in London. It is very cosmopolitan city and you captured nicely this spirit. Good composition and well given colors add to the final result.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Maria, Interesting view of these two elderly Muslim women on the London street. I wonder, what are they talking about?
Indeed, in some places, specially in Birmingham I felt like in Middle East rather. Nice picture.
Warm regrads MAlgo

Ciao e buona serata

Nice capture of this two women -most probably from an islamic country- chatting on the Street in Notting Hill.
Very good layout.
TFS and best regards

Notting Hill is no longer conservative London via your candid scene with scarfed women in front of window mirror.
Thanks for sharing,

They look Turkish or perhaps Middle Eastern? A great dual portrait and well composed with the wall at left on a diagonal incline starting in the bottom right corner adding both dynamism and diminishing linear perspective. Excellent color and saturation. Tfs!

Another excellent snapshot, cannot believe that you have captured these two women in UK, I'd place is somewhere to Middle East, but it is in line with the globalisation trend.
Excellent, very well arranged photo.
Very well done
Wish you a nice weekend.

You have a very interesting picture here, two ladies were talking on the side walk. That's one meaning of traveling--capture the daily life of the city you've been. It's great. Thanks for sharing.
eldancer1 (36343) 2014-03-25 6:50
Very nice capture of those two friends talking. Just like most major cities one can find different cultures existing side-by-side and most of the time in harmony. Good dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

When ladies meet, what do you expect! Good street people photography filled with some bright colours, body lingo and detail around. Indeed lots of stories or perhaps gossiping going on there, interesting characters too and the big mama is glancing on you! This is an attractive daily life depicting the local going about their routine and a good spot to make them tell the story. It's lovely slice of daily life that will be repeated by women all over the world, what a beautiful observation. Well done.

surely a nice moment captured by you here. I like your sense of timing the shot. Very good candid photo with nice and expressive faces. One is explaining something with anger and the other is hearing it with an expression, full with agony. Excellent composition with those empty chairs... Tfs.

On ne croirait pas en Angleterre! avec l'habillement des deux dames....je ne sais pas ce qu'elle se disse, mais l'une ne semble pas contente....beau reflets dans la vitres et la présence des deux chaises vides...intéressante présentation
Belle soirée a toi

why don't they just take a seat?:)Maybe a cup of tea would have soothed their complaining minds:))
Excellent street capture showing cultural diversity of the big city.
jmdias (64994) 2014-04-03 17:41
me gustan los reflejos de las columnas blancas en la ventana, la expresión furiosa de la mujer es una parte fuerte de la composicion. muy bien hecho y buen encuadre.

Nice framing, with the parallel between the two women and the chairs. Regards,

London is nowadays much different from what I saw on my visit in 10/1978, Maria.
Nice taken the street scene, the two ladies exchanging viewes about the weather... or other problems somewhere...
Buen fin de semana,
