Photographer’s Note
Image taken a few years ago. Compared with the ones I have recently taken and I have to admit I still love this POV. It has been converted into sepia and noise added, for a change.

I like the perspective and the minimalism presented, the sepia choice is the right one, I always vote for sepia! Quite artistic image.

Wonderful photo. The pods seem to disappear in thin air .. makes for a shot with some great tension in it, especially since the wheel isn't on it completely and thus we don't see them returning either.

Intersting POV. Good image and perspective of that visited point in London.

Hi Maria
This is a really dynamic and emotive image. I love the POV, the sepia and the grain which all combine to give a special feel. I feel like I'm being flung into the air with the wheel as it turns. Wonderful.

This is a great perspective, Maria. You have done very well by converting to sepia and adding the noise. It created an oldish type of picture which is quite appropriated to this subject. Well done.

It's a great viewpoint Maria, the Eye looks great set against the sky, and the strong light contributes to the shot's success.
I think I'd have preferred a weaker sepia effect - a bit less brown - or even better, plain old black and white. I'm not too sure about the added noise either - it seems a bit localised, clustered in the centre of the frame in the darker area of sky.
It's a good shot though - the framing works well and the light is excellent.
Cheers,
Ben

One of the best and the most different shots of the London Eye I've ever seen. Your POV is dynamic; I can feel the wheel turning and it seems as if it was turning faster than usual. Sepia tint is effective, yoo. Congrats.

This is very good, Maria, the sepia tonality positions this as an "old-fashioned" image but then the subject and especially the tilt convey almost a sci-fi feel to the picture! Great contrast in this respect. I also like the contrast of light here, the cabins look fantastic against the dark sky.
Cheers

There's a lot of "london eyes" on TE. I have to say that the way you caught the wheel is the best POV I've seen. Congrat

It is so difficult to find an original POV of an often photographed subject and you have succeeded with this one. Good work

I love your photo and the funny thing i would never have picked it as the London Eye from this POV (Looks a bit scary with the dramatic sky in the background).
Beautiful tones and great composition.
Well done!

Hi Maria-
I saw this photo earlier today, and was going to comment on it. However, work got in the way and I forgot. It was meant to be though. I came back to it through your gallery from your critique of one of my shots.
I have seen so many shots of the London Eye on TE, that I believed there were no other possible vantage points. Your shot proves my very wrong, and I gladly admit that.
Not only is your POV distinctive, your decision to sepia tone the whole thing takes the image even further.
I don't see what your ISO was in your photo info, but I'm guessing it was higher. I love the noise, combined with the sepia. It makes it look like something from the Masters of old.
Wonderful post.

Hey Maria,
Shooting with monochrome like in sepia tone is more of a craft than merely a picture taking process. You had that eye captured very nicely. Form of structure that features its lines, shape and height makes an ideal subject to be presented in sepia. Noise need not be added since the visual effect is already present though makes it feel cinematic kinda. Very clever and creative ;)
Cheers!

Hola Maria,
Felicitaciones

Hello Maria -
Wow, a unique and different perspective of the Eye in London. I was there several years ago and tried to find a different view from the iconic one. This one works whether it is in sepia or color. Sometimes showing a portion of the icon is more powerful than the full icon is dramatic light. Well seen and presented. I like it!
Thank you for sharing.

This is really wonderful, the Sepia works weel, and the clean cut where we see nothing but sky and the "eye"
is very well done.
I bet this one would look good on the wall.

Hola Maria,
Personalment no era amante de utilizar los colores sepia, ahora veo que no tenía razón. Impresionante composición.
