Photographer's Note
Well this was just the moment. Big Ben we saw millions of times, though the seconds which are ticking they are changing it. They are changing the light, the shadows, the ambiance. And then the bus rushed into the moment. And I clicked...

Hello Dr (his that your name?) :),
About the foto i think is a good one, sharpness, colors, and composition work well.
However the horizon line isn´t correct and that gives the idea of dizziness...
I have made a workshop correcting it and cropping just a little bit. Hope you like it!

Hi,
Impressive shot! The light is well balanced and the movement of the bus is just enough. Well done! Thanks.
Dougie.

Hi Marios, a wonderful image that captures the spirit of London magnificently. Parliament, rain, red buses and never-ending roadworks. Excellent composition and congratulations on ensuring that the bus bisects the Victoria and St Stephen's Towers of the Palace so perfectly. You've used the special qualities of the S3 to make full use of the dynamic range available to you. My only suggestion would be to add a narrow black border to finish off the presentation but really it's a matter of personal preference. Stephen

Hello Marios,
I like this one particularly because it's so different than the usual London pictures we see everyday. The color, reflection on the ground, the bus' motion are all great. I wonder if this was handheld.
Best wishes,
Hakan

This is a very beatiful moment Mario.
Instead of short reaction time, the composition is perfectly balanced.
The rain intensifies the atmosphere.
I loved it. Cong.
p.s. I have also a couple of photos from london with moving busses.I uploaded onyl one yet.
Take a look..

Hi Doc!
What a picture!
You should name it "Rush Hour"
I guess I saw that bus somewhere in...Harry Potter III.
Well done!

Hi Marios
This could almost be Harry' Potters' Night Bus.
The composition is excellent with the bus well placed between the 2 towers plus you've managed to include the reflection of Big Ben. I would have preferred it with a bit more sharpness on the buildings in the background to contrast more with the moving bus. I'm not an expert on night shots but from what I've learnt, a tripod would have helped enormously as you would have been able to close the diaphragm more and thus get a sharper background.

Thanks for the email Marios - one way of getting attention I suppose!! ;-) Yes, I like the pic. The compo works well, love the motion in the bus, the perspective is nice. I like too the reflection in the rain water. There is a little noise, but this is not too destracting.

Nice. I like the colors reflecting from the sky on pavement. Great atmosphere here. And the bus is on the right spot, too...

At the right moment at the right place - on the sidewalk ;)) Wonderful shot, I like it very much. The Bus gives wonderful feeling of perspective and points towards Big Ben. Great.
Have a nice weekend,

Dr Mario,
Indeed one of your better picture, certainly subject and quality, it's always very difficult taking pictures with backlight, I know your camera not, but remain persevere and all begin is very difficult.

John

Ciao Marios!
I'm here again...
I didn't see this shot before: Fantastic!
Great composition and fantastic atmosphere: the rain and the light make appear the wonderful London's colours.
Great the movement sense.
See you soon...

I hadn't seen your gallery until that last "Daily Issue" image. You seem to like motion in your pics, as well as low available light for ambiance.
That's one thing I like too, so I won't have many critics to write on this image, except compo wise, may be a stronger foreground on the right side of the pic would fill up the reading a bit more.

I love this! The whole picture is great but I particularily like the reflections of the sky on the wet pavement and the sense of speed of the bus is great. You picked the perfect time of early evening to take your shot, the colours are perfect.

Salut Mario

This photo sums up all my visits to London. Looking the wrong way when crossing the streets and when you turn back, you see one of these barreling towards you. Your blurred motion of the bus is a great addition to this shot. Also, the wet streets and cloudy sky sum up everything that is London. Great city and a great photo!
