This spring I went with my family to London for a week. The weather was not all bad for what is expected in London in late March, so I took the opportunity to take some photos of the city. Walking with a camera around London is really helpful, and with a little imagination you can make thousands of photos of all kinds, but I could not resist making some of the most typical photos that we've all seen on postcards or books. This is one that I always wanted to try ...

Hi Juan,an excellent idea this work in PP to leave only the red of bus in a black and white composition,a classic point of view under the Big Ben made with a magic long perspective and fine detail everywhere,it's nice to see a new idea from this famous corner..ehehe....have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

How would you sum up the city of London. The answer is here! I really like this picture, congratulations.

While I'm not a fan of partially desaturated pictures, otherwise this is pretty much a kind of picture I'd like to take myself. View across the bridge towards Big Ben and a big bus running surprisingly between lanes.
I think the New Routemaster bus is very stylish and will some day be as iconic as it's predecessors.

I was also in London recently, but in November, and I agree with Kari about the new bus, I believe it is an icon already. I certainly think so, it is an amazing vehicle.
This is a wonderful picture, lovely idea you had to keep the red lines on the road also. And that sky is so much more dramatic in monochrome.
Thanks for sharing…..gracias

you have done well to capture two of London`s icons in one photograph,an image that I guess most people would associate with England`s capital city.

I like the partial desaturation as it works very well for such an iconic subject. The red lines also add dynamism. Very well taken and processed.
Kind Regards, Ann

Color isolation doesn't always produce the best results, but this one is a real winner! Two icons of London, and it just wouldn't be the same without the RED double decker bus...this really puts a strong stamp on the cities well known attraction. Wonderful composition that takes us from front to back with an easy to follow "lane" of sight. Very well done! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
