The steps of Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery in the heart of the City of London, England. All life is here especially as this was taken during the London Olympics of 2012 - representatives from around the globe all seated and happily getting along……………………now there is a thought!

Very nice capture of this famous gallery in London taken with a good pov.
The crowds sitting on the stairs are most probably waiting for the opening time.
TFS and best regards

A crowd of people sunning themselves in the London sunshine, that's quite a rare occurrence as well:-) The portico entrance and the dome of the National Gallery makes a superb backdrop for the whole. A fine symmetrical composition, perfectly exposed and with very good colours and sharpness.

Ha! Ha! Brian had all gone well, I might have been sitting on those steps myself, but, sadly my husband sustained an injury two days before the Olympics and we were unable to go!! There is a mood of great camaraderie.
I cannot over-stress the importance of the two National Gallery banners. They vividly frame the shot and provide the link with the colours in the f/g.
You have chosen a fine composition, with three horizontal layers, creating different impressions as one moves into the scene.
Have a great day,

Very nice moment, such a colorful crowd in the front of the National Gallery, so many different people, and the colonnade of the Gallery as the BG for this international group, well caught

I like your note as much as the picture, and if I look at all the people inside the scene, we can see people from all over the world, evident in their manners of dress. How cool it is that the evils of the world can take a break sometimes, and what a benefit to allow you to create this beautiful shot inside that moment! The people all together here is excellent, but what a bonus to have this impressive building behind too! Class shot.
Thanks as always
P.S. I found some bluebells!! I'll be posting a shot later with an apt title :)

Ciao e buona serata

Love this capture a lot! The main entrance of this amazing museum was photographed very well to show its beauty and size. Very well executed imaged based on the brilliant concept. TFS!

The first thing which caught my eye was the turbaned man in the centre. Great shot!
Loved the POV.
Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.

Hey there DD,
Having been here myself, I was instantly drawn towards this shot of yours...even if there isn't anything, big, red and shiny. D'oh! :-P
I know there's a lot to London which I wasn't able to see during my 1 day visit, but Trafalgar Square was probably my favorite spot...and this image conveys so much of that sentiment. Full of life and motion, I thoroughly enjoyed sitting by and watching the world pass by with a non-stop parade of humanity.
The National Gallery makes an impressive backdrop to this collection of tourists and locals alike, and they're presence gives a good sense of scale. If only we could all get along as good as we do during the Olympics, right? Wishful thinking I suppose!? Enjoy the new day. Take it easy amigo.
Cheers from a rather cool (only 78f/25c today)Feenix valley,

Hi again, Definitely the life is here. so many people prefer just enjoying sun on the steps than to go inside and admire art treasures. Nice composition.

Nice collection of many faces out on London famous Trafalgar-Square, Brian.
Besides the vivid scene, its a special photographic-skill to take pictures of people, admittedly I yet have to learn this myself.
Fine choice of perspective, well taken the moment, one lady in black was looking strait at your camera.
