A most interesting point of view on the iconic dome. The crowds of people create a splendid mood. Good choice of black and white to accentuate that. Excellent well presented composition.

the hustle and bustle of the London streets make a fine introduction to this unusual view of St Paul`s Cathedral.
Almost two photographs on the same page,a striking image.

Ciao e buona giornata

Great Pov, on to this fine bridge and Saint Paul's Cathedral in the Bg, the B@W gives it a different mood, as every one is in B@W and not as normal coloured clothes, they seem united together.
Well managed, Tfs,

I like the optical illusion created by the glass walls and the capture of two levels in the dame frame. The cathedral dome acts as a fine focal point for the image. Beautiful B&W image. Excellently done and thanks for sharing.

I like the composition with all these people in the foreground and the impressive Cathedral behind to be an eye catcher,
very well captured!
danos (82715) 2014-03-27 12:46
well chosen the B/W format with the view of St. Paul's Cathedral from all these visitors.I like the two levels of the scene as the created depth of the image.Well done.

Hi Gosia, another masterwork from London! I'm not a black and white fan,but this perspecive is truly fantastic!!! What a idea and what a magnificent composition,a spectacular catch-eye!Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

I thought this was a poster of sorts at first glance, like someone was purposely trying to create an optical illusion. :) A brilliant and smart image that takes on even more artistic flare under the black & white scheme. For a still shot, it's full of perceived motion and activity, and timed perfectly to avoid any clutter from the masses. A fun and original way to present St. Pauls, this is an excellent result that stands out from the crowd...in every sense of the phrase. :) Enjoy the new day ahead. All the best.

dkmurphys (45897) 2014-03-28 6:18
Maybe the most original view of the cathedral I've ever seen. Great choice, love it!
Enjoy a fine afternoon.

What a unique and creative vision of this London landmark, I love what you have done here. Beautifully suited to black and white. My eye is torn between looking at the cathedral, or looking at all the many different people in the scene. Brilliantly done!
All the best

I am fascinated by this very smart composition. The upper part on its own would have been a great, interesting and lively photo, but by including the lower section you add a very pleasant confusion and lots more details. A great photo to watch for a long time and very well converted to B&W.
subhendu_bagchi (25121) 2014-03-28 19:49
you took the right way to present this in monochrome. I like the composition with that beautiful architecture at back with those people in FG. Excellent depth and nice sharpness. Another excellent frame indeed. Tfs.
ACL1978 (7467) 2014-03-29 7:35
Excellent multi-leveled shot of the Cathedral and the pedestrian bridge leading to is, Gosia. I love the effect of the dual crowd here. I wonder how it would also look in color? Did you choose B&W due to a lack of brightness because of the weather?
CLODO (28662) 2014-03-29 7:45
it seems there are 2 different picturesat the same time, well enhanced by the b&W conversion.
jhm (134540) 2014-03-29 8:17

ourania (25618) 2014-03-30 3:45
I appreciate very much the point of view you chose for another look to the magnificent dome of St Paul's Cathedral. This view is surely original and intriguing and integrates the fabulous and iconic building in a different type of cityscape. I like very much the perspective and the layers of interest. The sense of movement is superb, the people make up a vivid and interesting urban scene. The monochrome has been rendered very skillfully and makes the scene look also graceful and peaceful. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great Sunday,
kato (11630) 2014-03-30 23:29
You're capturing well this scene by a good angle and very excellent B/W tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see St Paul's Cathedral seen from the riverbank of the Thames. You catch this view and people who go back and forth through the floor of two stage by realizm touch. So, this is a photograph with a high quality as which is seen at the photograph site of 1X.com.
willperrett (5648) 2014-04-01 4:14
Excellent work. You probably know my penchant for monochrome, so I could hardly pass this one by. But for me it's the very clever framing that makes this photograph work so well. There is a visual disjuncture between the two levels, which sets up an intriguing puzzle, as on first glance it looks like two images one on top of the other. Beautifully constructed!
Cricri (100451) 2014-04-01 11:23
patpatch (1377) 2014-04-03 10:00
A very interesting and original vew on the St Paul's cathedral.I like your black and white choice.
I thik that all the people we can see in your picture give a lot of dynamism and movement to your shot.

batalay (34577) 2014-04-05 1:17
I don't merely "like" this photo, I love it. In B&W it works especially well, wight he majestic St. Paul's Cathedral crowning the other side of the Thames, with a dramatic sky over the cityscape. Color would have been distracting in this case.
serp2000 (37513) 2014-04-07 16:18
The St Paul's Cathedral looks like a Capitol building in Washington. Very original two-level's composition. Good choice of the b&w, it makes this scene more interesting.
Good sharpness and contrast.
ChrisJ (94510) 2014-04-08 11:10
Superb tonal and textural details in this outstanding b&w shot of the lookout over St Paul's Cathedral and its iconic dome. Splendid use of diminishing linear perspective and vanishing point with the dual sides of the downward facing ramp starting in both bottom corners. Tfs!
UlfE (14635) 2014-04-08 11:29
Superb and very intriguing photo of the Millenium bridge and people at different levels. St. Paul's Cathedral is a perfect backdrop and the dome is perfectly positioned. The B & W is also reallly great. TFS and have a nice evening!
