Photographer's Note

I am reliably informed that this remarkable survivor is a Ford Popular Model E93A,1200cc Side Valve engine, with 17" wheels and narrow profile cross ply tyres. Perhaps Tyro can verify?

Apparently, the electrical system was 6 volt negative earth with the windscreen wipers being operated via a vacuum reservoir linked to the inlet manifold.

Note the 'keyhole' shape in the middle of the front bumper to allow a starting handle to be inserted into the crankshaft pulley to enable manual starting. Them were the days eh?

I came across this on my way to the toilets at Camden Lock market.
