A view down Lime Street in the City of London, England, at the building nick-named The Gherkin. Sandwiched here between the Lloyd's Building on the left and the Willis Building on the right this iconic London skyscraper formally the Swiss-Re Building is now actually called 30 St Mary Axe, but everyone knows it as the "London Gherkin". The building became part of the London skyline on its completion in December 2003.

An interesting and unusual point of view on The Gherkin sandwiched between its neighbours. Makes for a strong graphical composition much enhanced by the light and shadow play and excellent detail.

real architectural "clash".Just love the combination of upward perspective you used here and so great, modern architecture(especially th ebuilding on our left and its industrial character appeals to me much).
Brilliant composition with strong graphics!
Have a nice day

hello Brian, interesting framing... Interesting POV. Love the effect of light and shadow in those skyscrapers. Great graphism made by those lines and curves. Excellent work. Tfs.

ok, now i HAVE to re-visit London!
any building with large pipes like that on the outside, next to tall glass structures is a favorite of mine!
what a photo shoot location this must be!
Funny to see the Gherkin in the bg seemingly saying...please don't forget about me!
love the sweeping curve on the right, and the pipes on the left, and the Gherkin in the middle...just like a hotdog or something :)

nice the view of the upper part of the Gherkin building as is captured between the two other buildings of London.
Well chosen the POV as the excellent light and colour management of the scene.

J'aime particulièrement les reflets sur la façade concave de l'immeuble de droite.

It is interesting just how many different views or glimpses there are of this famous building. This is a view that is original and memorable. I am drawn to the beautifully lit reflections with the repetitive shapes and colours. Smart work from you again.
Kind Regards, Ann

An unusual and original picture of The Gherkin.
The coloured reflections on the glass facade of the building at the right are absolutely wonderful.
A stunning architecture picture!
Best regards, Paul
